Job reference RA2439 - Grade E

Job summary

ReAssure is probably the biggest and most successful Life Company you have never heard of.

Our business model is to acquire books of business from companies who no longer wish to service them, and migrate them onto our single proprietary administration platform. We then give them industry leading customer service, and their investments the financial security they need. We have a proven track record for successfully migrating and integrating closed books of business in this way.

ReAssure currently manages around 2.3m policies and £45bn of funds under management. We have a strong growth story, including a recent acquisition of a further 1.1million policies and an additional £33bn of Policyholder funds. Our business model means we are an exciting place to work that provides opportunities to work on a variety of products designed by different life companies in one place.

To support our growth ReAssure is looking to recruit a dedicated Actuarial Analyst to join the Production team within the Actuarial Operations function. The Actuarial team performs a critical role in achieving the company’s strategic goals by measuring and monitoring the business’ day to day financial strength, pricing new deals, safely and efficiently integrating new policyholder funds and delivering strategic change programmes.

The positions will be based in Preston, Telford or Hitchin on a permanent basis and can involve travel between sites as well as agile working.

As a graduate on our fully supported actuarial programme you’ll be given:

  • The opportunity to work with multiple teams across an exciting variety of activities from projects and pricing of new deals to external reporting and business integrations. We rotate students to provide them with a more holistic view of the organisation and broader level of experience.
  • A generous and fully supported study package that includes paid leave and funding for revision materials, including tutorials. You will be given the flexibility to make a study plan that works for you and will join our internal Actuarial community, which organises CPD, Professional Skills Training, newsletters and networking events for anyone part or fully qualified.
  • We know being an Actuary is about more than just technical knowledge. Your personal growth story will involve developing professional and soft skills alongside your qualifications. We have a suite of training packages to support development of your Leadership and Personal skills and defined Actuarial career pathways for technical and Managerial roles.

In addition, as an employee of ReAssure, you will benefit from:

  • Flexible Benefit Package. This allows you to choose the benefits that best suit you, from additional protection and health products, extra holiday and corporate discounts.
  • Competitive core benefit package. This includes; private medical insurance, Group personal pension plan, Group income protection, Global share participation plan, employee assistance programme, a generous holiday entitlement, season ticket loans, childcare vouchers, subsidies for products that reduce your carbon footprint, flu inoculations, and an employee referral scheme.
  • Diversity & Inclusion. ReAssure is passionately committed to being an inclusive employer, which we view as vital in helping us achieve our strategy. In 2017 we pledged our support to the Women in Finance Charter.
  • Volunteering opportunities. ReAssure recognises the importance of supporting local charities and communities. Our Volunteer Policy means that ReAssure employees have the opportunity to apply for 15 hours a year to engage in volunteering activities, during work time.
  • We understand the importance of employees’ wellbeing and believe in creating a culture of health that motivates and engages our colleagues. We have Wellbeing ambassadors who organise local activities, as well as centrally managed events.
  • Sports and Social. Our Sports and Social team organise a range of activities and initiatives internally and with local organisations.
  • Employee Liaison Group (ELG). The ELG is made up of your colleagues; they are elected by you and represent your interests to senior management.
  • Partnering local schools. ReAssure works with local schools to provide young people with an insight into the working world through organised events run by employees.
  • Our working environment. We aim to create a working environment that is:
  • Collaborative: an environment that encourages team working and incorporates a range of group and individual work places
  • Flexible: supports agile working both within and outside of the office environment
  • Modern: with a consistent look which reinforces the ReAssure brand and has coherent feel across all sites
