Job summary

ReAssure are looking to recruit a dedicated Application Support Engineer to join our team within the IT function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on a permanent basis.  This vacancy represents an opportunity to join one of Telford’s largest employers, within an ever changing environment where you will discover the potential to perform and grow.

In this role as Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of Applications across the ReAssure estate, ensuring we deliver exceptional customer service at all times. To actively contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Application Support function within ReAssure IT, progressing and delivering SIP opportunities whilst adhering to best practice and ensure process and control adherence at all times.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all business applications across all of ReAssure, which are supported within I&O Application Support, are supported to a high standard and incidents, requests and problems are updated and resolved within a timely manner, within agreed SLA’s.
  • Manage live releases to agreed environments for any application requests in scope for the teamSeek to Automate tasks wherever possible to improve efficiency and repeatability
  • Provide On-Call support for business critical applications which have been identified as requiring extended support

Key skills/experience required

  • Team Player
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve
  • Strong technical background in MS technologies
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
