In this role as Calculations and Finance Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for completing testing against changes made to calculations and finance functionality, and provide assurance that product requirements are met before changes are implemented to our core administrative system, ALPHA.

Key responsibilities

  • Review requirement documentation and calculation specifications.
  • Act as the subject matter authority for Life and Pension policy calculations.
  • Build calculation test plans and select appropriate test policies.
  • Analyse and interrogate results against test systems and requirements.
  • Work with appropriate analysts and developers to settle the root cause of any errors.
  • Raise defects and follow these through to successful resolution.
  • Ensure all testing meets appropriate documentation standards.
  • Perform high quality analysis and produce accurate output in line with requirements.
  • Liaise with colleagues in Change Management and IT daily, providing regular updates and attend project meetings.

Key skills/experience required

  • Advanced MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Shown mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to work and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to think analytically and be a creative problem solver.

Key skills you will grow

  • Ability to capture and interpret meaningful data and information.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in well-structured messages.
  • Ability to write SQL queries using PL/SQL and Q&E.
