At ReAssure, we are recruiting a Feature Team Manager to join our team within the IT Alpha+ Change Delivery function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on a permanent basis. Can you head up a team in the New Alpha Delivery area! Acting as lead technical authority on one or more projects, leading all aspects of technology selections and implementation strategies for ALPHA! We need someone who can be Responsible for ensuring that all functional strands of the project are designed and specified in appropriate detail for the Feature Team to work from and ensuring the ongoing integrity of the design of the system. Responsible for a team delivering solutions – coordinating delivery of change from receiving requirements through to warranty.

Key responsibilities


  • Acting as the ALPHA knowledge Specialist for programmes/projects, through all stages of a project from design to defect resolution.
  • Understand the technology, current and strategic directions, and direction of travel. Embed all of this in your designs
  • Understand the business and non-functional requirements and identify a suitable architecture (including broader technologies if applicable, application structure and conceptual approaches) that best meets any budgetary and/or timescale constraints.


  • Formulate plans to deliver the agreed solution within the bounds set by the business (timescales, technical, etc.).
  • Work with the wider project team, e.g. Change teams, IT teams and Customer Services in the effective delivery of solutions.
  • Run day-to-day work of your team, using Scrum, Kanban or other methodology to ensure that the team is working effectively, removing blockers and agreeing priorities. Ensure that all work is developed to agreed and appropriate time, budget and quality
  • Provide motivational team leadership across a Team. Mentor and support team members on assigned projects as they strive to meet their objectives and targets. Offer performance related evidence regarding their development to senior management. Ensure all performance management activities (121s, reviews) are undertaken to the required timelines.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in parallel, ensuring prioritisation on the most important/urgent topics
  • Proactive, tenacious, pragmatic problem solver
  • Essential:
  • 10+ years solution development (With the vast majority of that in ALPHA) to include PL/SQL and/or web-stack technologies/languages
