ReAssure, part of Phoenix Group are recruiting a Finance Business Partner Manager to join our team within the Finance function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on a Fixed Term Contract basis. In this role, you will manage a team of financial business partners who are responsible for financial planning and analysis at a functional level alongside central projects. You will develop a good understanding of the strategic goals of the business and play a key role in achieving them. The role will continue to build on the established effective relationships with senior stakeholders and will play a key role in managing and controlling costs within the organisation. Their oversight will ensure that the integrity of financial information is maintained in a controlled way.

The successful candidate will have significant prior finance business partnering experience. They will be capable of working flexibly in a fast paced environment and have excellent management and stakeholdering skills. They must be proactive in driving good cost management practices as well as identifying ideas for continuous change and improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of business partners who provide services to Executive Functions, including monitoring of actual expenses against budget, preparation and challenge of business cases and commercial contracts
  • Manage plan and forecasting activities, adhering to a challenging timetable and continuously challenging senior stakeholders and the business partner on their levels of expenditure
  • Develop effective relationships with senior stakeholders and be seen as a trusted business partner
  • Drive the development of consistent and high quality financial MI to support the management of costs
  • Playing an active role in other finance projects that the business partners may undertake as well as supporting relevant forums and committees across the business
  • Promote the development and coaching of the team

Key skills/experience required:

  • Communicates effectively at all levels, including written and oral presentation, engaging stakeholders as appropriate to role
  • Demonstrates good organisational skills, with an analytical and methodical approach to work
  • Strong analytical financial management skills
  • P&L and balance sheet reporting and business planning procedures
  • Qualified Accountant with 5 years post qualified experience in industry
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to help with generating cost saving initiatives and play an active role in ensuring those initiatives are implemented and savings are tracked and delivered.
  • Travel to Other ReAssure sites for face to face meetings with stakeholders will be required from time to time.
