Key responsibilities

In this role as IT Release Delivery Analyst, the primary focus is to support the Release Delivery Leads and Release Delivery Managers carrying out required activities to ensure implementation into production.

This post demands someone who can work both individually and as part of a wider team who can perform specific tasks as well as being proactive in identifying areas for enhancement of the process.

The individual will be responsible for helping to ensure that exceptional standards of customer satisfaction are achieved.

  • Perform Release Delivery activities as per the defined process from Build through to Early Life support incorporating Operational Acceptance
  • Chase release approvals liaising between approvers and initiators
  • Liaise with all working parties where required such as ‘Development, Test, Support, Service Desk, Service Delivery
  • Contribute to weekly Release Delivery reporting and KPI’s
  • Contribute to meetings where necessary eg. ‘Operational Readiness Review’ ,’Implementation plan walkthrough’, ‘Incident Response Team meeting’ ,TCAB, CAB and Warranty
  • Perform defined Operational Acceptance activities through the lifecycle
  • Perform Defect Management activities where necessary
  • Work closely in support of Release Leads
  • Liaise with IT Change Management and Business Teams
  • Schedule meetings as required including room bookings etc
  • Chase up resource requests for scheduled releases
  • Contribute to and drive the continual improvement of Release Delivery

Key skills/experience required

  • General experience across ITIL disciplines in a complex outsourced technology environment.
  • Good ITIL understanding
  • Experience and knowledge of Release Management principles and methodologies.
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Strong analytic abilities.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure, frequently using own initiative.
  • Organised and methodical in approach
