Product Governance Manager

Job summary

ReAssure, part of Phoenix Group are recruiting a Product Governance Manager to join our team within the Products and Proposition function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on an internal secondment basis for 6 months. You will be responsible for Managing a team of actuarial students and technical analysts in support of ReAssure’s Product Governance Framework. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • You will lead the definition of solutions and business requirements for product-related changes.
  • You will support the agenda for the governance committees (e.g. PMC and Customer Committee)
  • You will manage reports, by providing coaching, feedback, training, monthly 1-1s, quarterly and year-end reviews.
  • You will oversee quality analysis on a range of product data and produce accurate outputs in line with the requirements of the PG framework.
  • You will ensure that the end-to-end customer journey throughout the product lifecycle continues to deliver fair outcomes for customers.
  • You will promote and support the implementation of the PG framework across the business, to make sure products remain fit for purpose; are performing as originally designed and are on track to reasonably meet customer’s expectations.

Key skills/experience required: 

  • Ability to communicate with management at all levels
  • Good inter-personal and strong structured organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ‘can-do’ attitude and quality orientation
  • Can apply both strategic and tactical insight to devise pragmatic and commercially effective solutions to business problems
  • Experience analysing data relating to Life and Pension products.
  • Good knowledge of Financial Services products.
  • Detailed knowledge of FCA regulatory environment and legislation.
  • Broad experience of all types of UK life and pensions products including the application of a Product Governance Framework.
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching team members on complex issues.
  • Presenting complex papers to governance committees.
