ReAssure are looking to recruit a dedicated Sourcing Assistant to join our team within the Sourcing function.  The position will be based in Telford on a permanent basis.  This vacancy represents an opportunity to join one of Telford’s largest employers, within an ever-changing environment where you will discover the potential to perform and grow.

In this role as Sourcing Assistant you will have responsibility for the E2E process for low value, transactional suppliers and support the Sourcing team & Senior Sourcing Manager in the E2E of high value, operational or material suppliers ensuring adherence to the sourcing strategy and processes in onboarding and renewing contracts.  Completing key administration tasks that support the sourcing team in achieving process and reporting objectives.

Key responsibilities

Sourcing Activities

  • Responsible for low value, transactional suppliers ensuring adherence to the sourcing strategy and processes in onboarding and renewing contracts.
  • Provide support to Sourcing team members in the onboarding or renewing of the high value, operational or material contracts.
  • Generating Request for Quote/Proposal packs as directed by the Sourcing lead and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure all requirements are adequately gathered
  • Supporting the assessment of commercial proposals
  • Gathering the information from business and sourcing team members to create supplier selection criteria
  • Conduct supplier verification, financial & Due Diligence checks and other checks as required
  • Maintain and improve on product knowledge, supplier information, supply base risks and market knowledge in relation to the areas ReAssure has active supplier relationships
  • To actively and positively support and contribute to improvements and development of the Sourcing team processes and procedures to deliver effective, efficient and value add outcomes to the business.
  • Maintain good understanding of your stakeholders to achieve a collaborative and effective relationship

Team Administration

  • Maintain data with the Contract database to provide complete and accurate data on ReAssure suppliers, working with relationship owners and suppliers to gather any missing data/information or documents
  • Produce the regular/ad hoc reporting on sourcing metrics including status of contracts and key areas of spend for presentation to team, governance meetings
  • Keep up to date the Sourcing policies, procedures and other supporting information based on the input from the Sourcing team.
  • Use Personal Imperatives to guide behaviour and values in approach to work.
  • Ensure that the activities completed are delivering a valued output and demonstrates compliance with business practice, conduct strategy requirements and target operating model.

Key skills/experience required

·         Financial Service regulatory environment preferred but not essential
·         Knowledge of Sourcing operational frame-works
·         Basic understanding of Sub-Contract Terms & Conditions
·         Basic knowledge of business processes and regulatory frameworks
·         Knowledge of using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and producing reports and presentation packs
