Job summary

Customer Service are looking to recruit a Team Leader in their Annuities area in Hitchin.  Customer Services is a fast-paced environment, which requires Team Leaders to react quickly and effectively to daily duties alongside emerging challenges/incidents. Organisational skills alongside a proactive ‘can do’ attitude are important.

In this role, you will be responsible for a team of people, driving excellent customer outcomes, proactive risk management and motivating your team through role model leadership behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, with a drive and confidence to implement potential improvements across the team. Customer Services has a culture of ‘one team’ therefore building strong relationships with your team, peers and stakeholders will be critical.

Key skills/experience required

  • Strong interpersonal, motivational & communication skills.
  • Experience of a management role is not essential however would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational & planning skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade
  • Ability to represent a management perspective and to sell and own ideas
  • Proven ability to adapt to change and have a flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to develop and deliver improving customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication style to deliver messages to individuals and team
  • SQL/Excel skills desirable but not essential
