Job summary

ReAssure, part of Phoenix Group are recruiting a Test Delivery Lead to join our team within the Product and Proposition Test function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for putting customer’s interests at the heart of how we conduct business. Demonstrated through your individual behaviours with a clear focus on treating our customers fairly and delivering the right outcomes at all stages throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for environment and data requirements
  • Produce detailed plans and submit low-level resource estimates
  • Ensuring Test Plans, Test Designs and Reporting Dashboards are produced on-time and to the highest possible level of quality
  • Undertake test execution via selected approach (i.e. manual / automated)
  • Mobilise a team, instil flexibility and successfully lead multiple projects through the testing lifecycle
  • Ensure the most cost-effective use of the team utilising a flexible resource model
  • Identify test process improvements and work closely with the Test Practice to embed change(s)
  • Responsible for managing the functional and non-functional testing work conducted for given projects
  • Manage the performance of the test team by providing direction, coaching and motivation
  • Agree, set & monitor performance objectives for all team activities
  • Be part of the recruitment process, ensuring fairness and cost effectiveness
  • Ensure that all deliverables are tested in accordance with the Governance and Control policy

Key skills/experience required:

  • Well versed in applying different test techniques and approaches to suit project needs
  • Ability to adapt leadership styles to meet test delivery model (Waterfall, Agile, Exploratory)
  • Ability to influence different stakeholders and test team members
  • Strong inter-personal communication & organisational skills
  • Pragmatism to recognise where an alternative approach may need to be taken
  • Data interrogation by way of PLSQL (or similar)
  • Ability to motivate, enthuse and drive a positive and efficient working attitude for self and team
