Data Production Team Lead

ReAssure (part of the Phoenix Group) are looking to recruit a dedicated Data Production Team Lead to join our team within the Actuarial Operations function.  The position can be based at either the Telford, Hitchin, Preston or Hove sites and is on a 12 month FTC.  This vacancy represents an opportunity to join an established life insurance company, within an ever changing environment where you will discover the potential to perform and grow.

In this role as Data Production Team Lead within the Actuarial Operations Team, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Oversee and review quarterly Actuarial modelling of liability data
• Ensure appropriate controls are applied and apply knowledge to consider reasonableness of produced data
• Assist with the delivery of change through projects to support business or regulatory change.
• To support and drive the change processes of the organisation to continuously improve our organisation

Key skills/experience required:

• At least 3 years’ experience on an actuarial team
• Understanding of life insurance products
• Understanding of Data Analysis techniques and concepts including knowledge of Data Analysis software (eg SAS, VBA, DV, SQL)
• Working knowledge of Alpha/Oracle databases, including query design in PL/SQL
• Experience working in a UK Regulated Life and Pensions business is an advantage
• Experience of managing a team or coaching/mentoring is an advantage
• Proven track record of delivery in similar or relevant preceding role
• Studying towards FIA qualification is an advantage
