Job summary

ReAssure, part of Phoenix Group are recruiting a Shareholder Investment Accountant to join our team within the Finance function. The position will preferably be based in Telford/Work from Home on a FTC basis. You will be responsible for supporting the oversight of the third party fund accounting for Reassure shareholder assets and be the SME for all shareholder asset data and accounting.  You will challenge and determine new processes and procedures and support successful migrations of fund accounting, and engage in a consistency changing environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of the daily/monthly Net Asset Value (NAV) of the Reassure Shareholder portfolio c£18bn from the third part administrator
  • Manage complex and consistent change activity within the shareholder assets fund space
  • Support new external fund managers, asset classes and fund launches
  • The SME for all derivative, private debt and collateral accounting
  • Take ownership of the reconciliation and monitor/oversight of key accounts
  • Ensure Investment accounting records are accurate and assets and liabilities reflect correct position on behalf of Reassure and its stakeholders.
  • Relationship lead with internal/external supplier or functional senior leads.
  • Responsible for stakeholder MI including committee and executive MI. Provide departmental training of Investment knowledge. Be the direct point of contact for asset management
  • Validate all third parties fees and rebates, be the point of contact for any shareholder fees for all other interested functions/projects
  • Lead Fund Accounting Oversight Team’s initiatives, creativity of ideas and debate for continuous process improvement

Key skills/experience required:

  • 5 years’ experience in an Investment related environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising in an Investment Operations environment
  • Rounded strategic understanding of the ReAssure business
  • Knowledge of complex assets such as OTC derivatives and private debt.
  • Knowledge of collateral management practice
  • Technical asset accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of ReAssure risk framework
  • Detailed knowledge of Investment function, operations and accounting treatment
  • Knowledge of ReAssure’s Change Management framework and governance
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to prioritise
