Job summary

ReAssure, part of Phoenix Group are recruiting a Project Accountant to join our team within the Finance function. The position will preferably be based in Telford on a FTC basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Financial Reporting Control function delivers respective elements of change activity during test periods and into live specifically in relation to the ReAssure Integration Accounting Workstream responsible for integrating the Life Company ReAssure accounting processes within Phoenix.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • You will support the operational delivery of designated projects or tasks ensuring efficient and effective implementation into BAU operations
  • You will provide accounting expertise and guidance to support project delivery
  • You will escalate issues and recommend options for decisions
  • You will manage demands across change programmes
  • You will document operational readiness of systems, processes, and data to internal and external stakeholder’s and assess compliance of processes which are aligned to the finance target operating model

Key skills/experience required:

  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience of life company accounting
  • Experience of finance operational change
  • Good ownership of tasks, through excellent organisational skills and a diligent approach
  • Solid analytical, logical, detail-orientated skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
